Today I took a walk – a long walk (atleast in my book). As a new picture taker (can’t call me photographer yet I think), the goal for the day was to learn a few more settings. I’ve been through the first steps of the tutorials found online and now eager to get started.
As I looked around online I found out I have a few trips available to me in my near proximity. Really close was this place called Västerhällarna – right here in my home town Järbo. So I set out with a charger battery and two bottles of water and off I went.
As a total I measured my trip close to 10 kilometers (9.9 km to be more exact) and it took me almost 3 hours to complete. Didn’t spend all the time walking as I fiddled with the camera quite a bit as well. As I arrived at the top I looked out and saw this big smoke coming out of the forest. Took some pictures of it and according to the local newspapers (GD / Arbetarbladet) I seem to have captured a forest fire in Åshammar. Luckily the newspaper reported that it’s now under control.
Overall it was a pleasant way to spend a few hours and I’m looking forward to my next “photo/walking trip”.
